The landscape was wild, mild and silent. We experienced very long days with around 22 hours of daylight, which in itself has the potential to produce a non ordinary state of consciousness.
I was travelling with a Saami shaman whose teachings were simple and yet profound - "Listen to the Nature, trust in the Nature".
It's no secret that this is hard to do in the city and so I have resolved to continue this practice of seeking out the wild and silent places and to continue to do this in community.
And as such, I am excited to announce a new offering I've called The Silent Hike. The first of which will be a men's group process involving a few listening circles with a weekend overnight hike in a wild place close to Melbourne. If you feel called to the silence and called to nature (or know someone who is) please feel free to get in touch.
