The Silent Hike

An overnight adventure in one of the wild places of Victoria

A few weeks ago I had the privilege to travel to one of the most northern parts of Norway, way up in the Arctic Circle and take part in a 7 day hike and vision quest across the Tundra. It was an incredible immersion in nature, physically challenging and also deeply rewarding.

The landscape was wild, mild and silent. We experienced very long days with around 22 hours of daylight, which in itself has the potential to produce a non ordinary state of consciousness.

I was travelling with a Saami shaman whose teachings were simple and yet profound - "Listen to the Nature, trust in the Nature".

It's no secret that this is hard to do in the city and so I have resolved to continue this practice of seeking out the wild and silent places and to continue to do this in community.

And as such, I am excited to announce a new offering I've called The Silent Hike. The first of which will be a men's group process involving a few listening circles with a weekend overnight hike in a wild place close to Melbourne. If you feel called to the silence and called to nature (or know someone who is) please feel free to get in touch.
